The Mario Bros. game included on its select screen was just a holdover from the first Super Mario Advance so that any game in the Super Mario Advance series could be linked up to play it. That's why it still has that worthless Power Squat Jump: It came from a remake of Super Mario Bros. 2, so it seemed like a cute ability to add at the time.

Also, Super Mario Advance 4 did dumb down the game just a bit by lengthening platforms to make jumps easier, changing some Venus Fire Traps to regular Piranha Plants, and adding a few Super Mario World-esque features to give Mario more of an edge. Levels were also changed subtly to fit on the screen better, but that's to be expected.Ryan Ferneauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17955330155998980272noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4066879660092469892.post-54273908210884340912007-10-26T11:16:00.000-04:002007-10-26T11:16:00.000-04:00good articlegood articleAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
